About Larissa Killough
My work comes from visions I have, rooted in the present with shadows of the past. Fear is the driving force behind each one. Through the process of building each sculpture, fear is broken down and released. Awareness evolves further from their physically challenging but ultimately meditative construction – yards upon yards of canvas stitched by hand or thousands of feet of rope crocheted.
My hope is to inspire others to explore whatever fears may have a hold of them and let go..
